Depression is exhausting — and for some people, medications simply aren’t enough.
If you’ve tried multiple antidepressants without lasting relief, you may have treatment-resistant depression (TRD). This doesn’t mean you’re out of options — it means you may need a different approach.
Too often, patients are told to just “try another pill.” But medications can bring side effects, and waiting weeks for results can feel unbearable.
The truth is: science has advanced. There are new, proven ways to treat depression — and TMS is one of them.
What is TMS?
TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain responsible for mood regulation. Over time, this helps restore healthy brain activity and lift depression symptoms.
✅ FDA-approved since 2008
✅ Non-drug, non-invasive, and safe
✅ Well-tolerated with minimal side effects
✅ Covered by most major insurance, including Anthem/BCBS & Cigna
✅ Can be combined with or without medication
At Redbud Behavioral Health, we do more than just deliver TMS. We offer a comprehensive, personalized approach:
Whole-person evaluation: We don’t stop at a diagnosis. We look at root causes like insulin resistance, inflammation, and sleep.
Advanced treatment options: Alongside TMS, we offer Spravato, evidence-based medications (like lithium, MAOIs, and augmentation strategies), and metabolic psychiatry.
Small, hands-on team: You’ll see the same providers every visit. No large, impersonal clinic rotations.
Accelerated TMS protocols: Relief in weeks, not months.
How It Works (Simple Steps)
Step 1 – Free Consultation: We review your history, symptoms, and goals.
Step 2 – Personalized Plan: Together, we decide whether TMS, Spravato, advanced medications, or another approach is best for you.
Step 3 – Begin Treatment: If TMS is the right fit, you’ll start with a comfortable, in-office treatment schedule — with our team by your side.

For individuals with treatment-resistant depression, TMS offers a clinically meaningful response in about half to three-quarters of cases, with full symptom remission occurring in roughly one-third. These outcomes represent a valuable alternative when medications haven’t worked, though exact rates depend on variables like treatment protocol, patient health status, and clinical setting.
With traditional once daily treatment some people notice improvements within 2–4 weeks, however others may not see an effect for four weeks after the end of treatment.

We are in-network with Anthem/BCBS & Cigna commercial (non-Medicaid/Medicare) plans. These plans often cover conventional once daily TMS if you meet their criteria.
Accelerated TMS is typically not covered by insurance, but we have alternative payment options available.
